Las Marías Coffee is a mountain coffee project that began in December 2012, in a fragment of land once affected by livestock farming. After 10 years, it transformed into a Natural Reserve.
Over time, we discovered that the coffee cultivated here possessed exceptional quality, which led us to consolidate our production under the Las Marías brand. This marked the beginning of a new chapter, where coffee became not only a product but a reflection of the potential and richness of this land.
As our mission of conserving the Andean ecosystem grew stronger, we found a balance between sustainability and production. We decided to reduce the number of coffee plants to allow for forest regeneration and prioritize environmental restoration. Today, we have 3,000 plants of the Colombia variety, grown in a non-intensive way at 1.900 meters, occupying no more than 20% of the reserve area. These plants are cultivated in harmony with the environment and through the work of valuable local hands, who have been part of this project since the beginning.
The entire process, except for roasting, is carried out here, thanks to the artisanal work of a farming family, whose dedication and love give life to a coffee that honors the land, family and working hands.
